A casual and informal space but with no compromise on the quality of food. A place where everybody feels comfortable. The food style is strong and bold, with an emphasis on simplicity, and service being professional but approachable.
OUR traditional yet unique approach to food and drink makes The Hope and Anchor a special place to visit. This 19th-century pub is nestled at the heart of the South Ferriby community, located just five minutes from the mighty Humber Bridge in North Lincolnshire. The Pub offers a combination of traditional seasonal cuisine and historic dishes. Executive chef, Slawek Mikolajczyk’s quest for excellence in taste and flavour is combined with his respect and love of fresh seasonal produce to create a menu of British favourites in harmony with the building’s Maritime origins. Locally sourced guest ales, superb cocktails and a carefully selected wine list all contribute to the perfect place to unwind, for locals and visitors alike. We welcome a broad range of guests who appreciate the simple yet satisfying things in life, whether it be a “cheeky” pint after a dog walk or bird watching, sailing in via the Humber, or just to enjoy great wine and wanting simple food cooked well.

Amazing food, really great service, everyone super friendly and very polite! Fish and chips were incredible. I would say it's ever so slightly expensive but that's the only thing.
Went for my birthday recently having only been once before with just my partner. This time we took family and honestly I can't even tell you how disappointed I was. The service was beyond slow, meals came out undercooked and honestly just feel like this time it was not good value for money. Probably won't go back as there are so many other fabulous restaurants in Hull.
First ever visit here for our wedding anniversary after a stroll along the Humber estuary. Lovely venue, good selection of drinks and food....the food was amazing too, some are slightly expensive but you get what you pay for in the world. Would highly recommend to anyone....kids meals very good also.
Lovely food. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. Service was so lovely, made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Food never disappoints. A family favourite: we had our wedding reception here, birthdays, dates with hubby and anniversary and food and service is always fantastic. Love how they are passionate with the food and sustainability. The new menu is also great, always a hard choice! Had the Christmas Feast for two and had a nice time. Lovely staff, lovely food, will always come back.
