The Hop Pole now has new management! This is a pub with a history but throughout that history one thing has remained a constant....LOADS OF BEER!!!! Complete with a whopping 10 CASK ALES, real ciders and plenty more in the bottled variety, this pub is a must for those who enjoy a real beer!!! A regular in the Good Beer Guide and one not to miss! This pub now has the magnificent Aylesbury Brewhouse Company shop and brewery located to the rear of the building. Perfect for when you find that great pint and want to take some home, simply pop next door and buy some! All these are perfect to wash down our honest, home cooked food!.
Great range of drinks, didn't try the food but will be back
Made the 10 minute walk from the Premier Inn due to the reviews. A vast range of Craft Beers, Ciders, Lagers. The Menu has your staple meals. My wife and I had Pie, Chips, Peas and Onion Gravy. Piping hot and flavoursome. Saw other customers have Sausage and Mash, Burgers etc. these also looked very appetising. Don't be put off by first impressions on entering, it may look basic, this Pub delivers on taste and value.

One of my locals. Staff are always friendly, local seasonal ales. Great pub food, along with regular pop-up kitchens including Thai and Caribbean. Only tried the pub/Thai foods but both were excellent with good portion sizes.
First visit since lockdown, five real ales on tap Gravitas in good form. Ian has introduced sensible and well considered Covid controls.
