Discovered the Hollybush a few months ago and have dined here several times with my wife and also the whole family. The carvery is excellent quality and value with a great selection of roast meats and vegetables. The gravy is the best we have tasted across many eateries around Cardiff. We love the fact that there are alternative mains in the way of delicious, freshly prepared pizzas and burgers. This means there is something for everyone in our group. Finally, I have to say all the staff are very friendly and helpful, providing an excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Went here for all you can eat breakfast. Gotta say it was pretty good for a buffet style all you can eat. Food was quite hot. Tasty and filled me up for the rest of the day. I think it was 8.24 with a drink. Not bad at all. Would probably go back

Good, standard pub, with usual pub grub. We had a really great value 3-course Christmas lunch for £14.99. The food was OK, but at £5 a course, you can't really go wrong. Some of the 1st courses were a little disappointing. I had a really nice pizza and most of my friends enjoyed their carveries, the burgers didn't go down too well. The desserts were fabulous though..really yummy, really large portions, the children especially liked the bottomless Ice cream! The staff did so well to accommodate us as we were a party of 20, at a weekend. They were so friendly and smiley, even when rushed off their feet. We kept the kids in the corner and brought our own arts and crafts to keep them busy, but it's probably not the most family friendly place to visit..children get bored without play areas! We walked there from my friend's house so I can't comment on parking. If you want a cheap place to eat and meet your friends (pretty important these days in a cost of living crisis), with lovely staff, and OK food, this is definitely the place to be.

Pizza was decent but the carvery is awful although I guess you get what you pay for. No other meat than turkey, no roasties, watery veg including sweetcorn (?!) And congealed gravy- not for me unfortunately but as stated, pizza was nice.

Took the family here, 2 teenage boys and their Dan for a Saturday lunchtime meal. The menu is vast and if you don't fancy the cavery, you can choose from a decent selection of good traditional pub grub. From scampi, pizza, pies, burgers and vegan/veggie - dishes for everyone. We went with starters; prawns and chicken wings. Both very nice and served promptly and piping hot. 3 of us had the carvery and my youngest opted for pepperoni pizza. We all enjoyed our food and had no criticism about it. It was what we expected; good old pub food. Very reasonably priced so it won't break the bank. For a family of four (incl 2 teen boys) starters, main and a drink each came to £60. Could easily be less if only opting for main and drink. Good atmosphere too, happy staff and chilled environment suitable for a couple or family.
