Never stayed here but spent new years eve here. Was absolutely a brilliant night. Management went up and beyond, buffet was amazing 👏. Overall entertainment with wonderful people along with excellent food and brilliant staff was the best new years party 🥳. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys x
Had Christmas lunch here, which was delicious and plenty of it. Relatively new owners who are slowly refurbishing but who are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the visit.
Was allocated number 7 room on approach to the room there was a damp musty smell and wallpaper was wet on the walls, the bedding in the room was pristine at the base of the bed there was a big hole like some one had kicked it in. Round the bed was a wooden frame with voille curtain tacked on with silver coloured nails and knocked in flat, the shower was wonky and crimy near the taps that a bath cleaner would easily remove, on flushing the toilet it leaked at the bottom so had to throw a towel on the floor every time it was flushed, husband had to ask for another kettle as the gunge in it was ridiculous. Food ok though no fried or pouched eggs for breakfast on scrambled. Second time we have been at this hotel we must of been lucky the first time a couple of years ago.
Cleanliness of rooms let this place down. We stayed four nights and the basics of cleanliness of the room had been overlooked especially the bathroom. The bedroom window was seized fully open which must have been like that for years as the frame was painted over. Tired hotels don't bother us but lack of cleanliness should not happen. Really friendly dining room staff and I must say an excellent buffet breakfast even if evening meals were lacking. The hotel is in a great spot but sadly lacks heart.
Just come back from a coach trip at the Holliers Hotel Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. The rooms need updating and the shower was very poor. The staff couldn't of been nicer or more helpful. The food was OK and the Sunday carvery lovely. The location was also very good. Close to pubs and across from the pink cottage which is a tea room. Also walking distance to the beach and very close to Shanklin Chine.
