The Holburn Bar is a great place to start your day off the right way! Those who make the early start are greeted with a friendly welcome and a big breakfast, not to mention a dozen HD television screens, a 65 inch TV, a big screen projector and two Sky boxes. The fans are not the only ones being made to feel welcome in this airy pub with its four-table beer garden at the rear. With an 80-year track record of hospitality, it also scores with families, pub-quiz aficionados on a Thursday and lovers of poker on a Monday, and is a good-natured place to hang out with friends of all ages. Above the public bar is The Duthie Suite which can hold up to 130 people, and can be hired out from £149 on Friday and Saturdays, making it one of Aberdeen's cheapest function rooms, be sure to book early, it can be booked out a year in advance!.

If you want a good time in the bar, avoid Wednesdays. The staff was rude, refused orders for food due to slow service (at the bar), snarky and ill mannered. Every other day we have been it's great service, lovely and welcoming.

Just had delicious lunch in Holburn Bar. Food was great value and delicious. Bar man was so friendly and yet professional. Really nice guy. Great atmosphere we will definitely come back! Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The service at this place was among the worst I have ever experienced. From the quality of the food to the attitude of the staff, it was an absolute disaster. My family and I chose this venue for our Christmas day celebration, considering that the food needed to be pre-ordered months in advance for them to ensure they had enough for the everyone's orders. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they had lost our reservation. We were escorted to our table, only to be told that they had run out of sea bass due to multiple lost reservations and subsequent changes in orders. Despite one person at our table pre-ordering sea bass as their main dish, it was no longer available. We waited about 30 minutes before someone took our drink orders and another 10-15 minutes before the drinks were served. An hour later, our starters arrived, but they were freezing cold and instead of the advertised bread rolls, we received brown bread. It took another hour for our main courses to be served, which were disappointingly cold, dry, and clearly not freshly prepared. The person who originally wanted sea bass ended up ordering steak, but the steak was incredibly tough and nearly inedible. We complained about the quality of the food and were refunded only £50 out of the £250 we had already paid. Despite this, we decided to stay for dessert since we had already paid. However, after waiting an additional hour, only four out of the five desserts arrived, and all three chocolate brownies were missing the sauce. At that point, we decided we had endured enough and left. The complete incompetence and lack of organization at this establishment were astonishing. I strongly advise against wasting your money and time, at this shockingly disappointing place.

Arrived early for a Scotland game and easily got a table and had a great night. Got a meal in which was well priced and then the drinks kept flowing to the table via the app. Slight delay with the drinks arriving but the bar was absolutely heaving so this is understandable. Great atmosphere for the game and the TVs make sure you’ve got a great view no matter where you are.

What a hovel!! The food was warm at best. Multiple items were not on the menu. Music was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak (Sunday afternoon). The toilets were an absolute disgrace!!!
