Pie of the day, pheasant, delicious! And decent portions too, my raspberry pavlova was excellent.

OMG not been here for 16 years as had a bad experience but recently recommended by friends. Absolutely fantastic !!!!! My son had pheasant, it was divine. I chose lamb hotpot, it was so tasty just too much for me to manage. Staff amazing, ambience amazing and have already booked to go back next week. Would SO recommend 100% Went back for Wednesday mid week roast....fantastic roast and desert for £10 and thanks to chef I am now converted and love carrots and parsnips!!

Delicious home made food, lovely atmosphere... Warm and cozy local pub. My wife had pheasant, I had Lamb Hotpot... Couple of local ales and we were truly satisfied. landlord was entertaining as were the locals 😂🤣.. we had a lovely spontaneous evening with some lovely people... Just how life should be 🍺🍺 Cheers!!!

Ate and had a few drinks on a few occasions whilst on a short holiday. Great service. They even allowed me to watch Wales play South Africa in Rugby world cup warm up match. Great Guinness. Dreadful game but great service and hospitality.

How lucky - we got a table without reservation. Service extremely friendly and food very, very nice. Great steak and great vegetarian dish well flavoured with oriental spices. Also we got good recommendation regarding local beer. Also a highlight was the raspberry pavlova. Final, the cosy interior made the visit enjoyable, too.
