Just back from a 5 night stay at the White Hart in Welwyn and what a lovely place it is! Was here for work but would definitely come back for a pleasure trip. Perfect location in a beautiful little village with a variety of pubs and restaurants. The food here is amazing! The short rib I had just melted in your mouth and the steak my partner had was also delicious. Staff are fantastic, breakfast was great, accommodation was lovely. I can’t say anything negative about the White Hart. Thoroughly enjoyable stay!

The bluemark entertainment team did a wedding here and it was fantastic ! Adam and his team did an amazing job accommodating some special requests and fed all the supplier with delicious food ! The food smelt so good as it was being prepared prior to the service - I knew it was going to taste great.

A very disappointing evening meal for three. Starter of tacos was sub-Nandos in standard, just two bits of breaded pork in an unwarmed wrap. Main course steak arrived cooked well done, rather than medium as ordered. This isn't a slight detail - for a steak, this basically defines the dish you are eating. When asked whether everything was OK with the meal, this was gently raised - we were given warm apologies but told that nothing could be done. At a proper restaurant (and at £40 a head with drink, this should be a proper restaurant), I would expect at least some remediation on the spot for a mistake like this - an offer of a second steak, a glass of wine, or striking it out from the bill. We didn't ask for this, but that's where standards should come in. I've had better meals in a Toby Carvery. Staff seem to be trying their best but we won't be back.

Pros: The staff here were so accommodating. Really lovely people. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfy! the pub itself was lovely. Nicely decorated, traditional but with taste. The dining area was exquisite! And the food was unbelievable. I would highly recommend this place to stay or eat. The courtyard again was beautiful. The pub is situated in a lovely area with tonnes of charm! Cons: The room was quite hot when we visited but it was the height of summer. The bed was a bit squeaky but it was a traditional wood bedframe. And there was some heavy traffic noise in the morning simply due to it being on a corner of a roundabout. All in all I would definitely stay here again! Thank you

This hotel was recommended to us. Had a birthday celebration in the area, and stayed here overnight. From the initial booking to arrival, the service was exceptional. James was very friendly with good customer service skills. We booked a boutique room, and wow it didn't disappoint. The room was clean, with tea/coffee making facilities. The spa bath was good, as was the separate shower. The bed was also a good size. We liked the hanging space, which looked like a glass cabinet with net curtains. Different, but nice. Breakfast was good, our request for extra avocado was accommodated. We forgot to pre-order a small bowl of fruit, but didn't need to worry as we ordered it whilst we were having breakfast. Voila! it arrived. The catering staff were attentive and friendly. Although only here for one night, our experience here was good. Not only would I stay here again, but I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Well done to James and the team.
