The service was very good and the food for the most part was delicious apart from the seafood linguine and the fish and chips which had a huge amount of salt on them. My Diablo pizza was very good and my wife’s burger also very good. Overall very good dinner just a little less salt next time please. Thanks.

Had an excellent Sunday lunch here. I recommend the trio, the duo of beef, and the chicken. Everything was delicious, the yorkshires, the meats, the veggies and the gravy too. The texture of the meats was great, and we also had a side of mac & cheese which was very very nice, though it could have been baked longer for a crispy/crunchy top. Service was good, friendly or arrival and relatively prompt. Great place for Sunday lunch - the ambience or perfect. Thanks for lunch 😊

The food was served quickly, piping hot and, despite numerous requests for additional gravy, it was supplied in quantity & with a smile. Big up to our Server, Noah, who even laughed at my friend’s lame jokes. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

Great family meal at the Wicked Lady. We wanted somewhere local to Nomansland Common as we were doing part of our Walk 245: Nomansland South Loop which starts and finishes close to the pub/restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, we had a lovely table in a quiet spot behind a fireplace - which was great except that we were a bit out of sight and had to keep checking that the staff had remembered we were there. But it wasn't a problem and they were lovely about it. :-). The food was fab, we shared a selection of starters including prawns and calamari and had the delicious sea bass, seafood linguini, and fish and chips. Everyone left clean plates. The food is fresh, tasty, and comes in good portions - ideal for people out for a walk in the Hertfordshire countryside. Recommended. The only suggestion I would have for the management at the Wicked Lady is to have more real ale choice. When we visited the only hand-pump on show was the ubiquitous Doom Bar, which is a pity because there are so many great Hertfordshire breweries nearby and it would have been nice to have a pint of local real ale.

Food was great overall. Starter of Padron peppers wasn’t quite what I was expecting but pretty tasty nonetheless. I prefer keeping them simple with rock salt over the sweet sauce that these were smothered in. Burger looked a little dry when it came out yet was surprisingly moist and tasted on point. The Lotus Biscoff choc bomb was undoubtedly the star of the show. Absolutely incredible, one of the best desserts I’ve eaten out recently. Service however was really poor. Those who waited on our table put the effort in but food, drinks and even the bill all took a while to arrive. Place had a nice ambience and despite the negatives would definitely return.
