For succulent, quality steaks that are fused with world-inspired seasoning and flavours, enjoy your favourite 30-day-aged cuts, cooked your way. Steak is our main speciality, but we’re also very popular for other gastro categories too – like pub classics, plant-based creations and fresh seafood.

Our team

We have a talented, efficient team across the board at the Moor Mill Beefeater. Our attention to detail in everything from our service to the ingredients that make up our Beefeater menu, contribute to our reputation as one of the best restaurants in Radlett. Crafted with expertise and flair in our kitchen, our celebrated steakhouse recipes never fail to leave lasting impressions. And with a front of house team that’s with you every step of the way, you’re sure to feel part of the family too.

Being a force for good is important to us. A fun way that we raise money for GOSH – our nominated charity – is through duck food sales. That food then makes up part of the treats that we feed our resident ducks.

Our location

A site that can be traced all the way back to 1086AD, our restaurant was once used as a water mill next to the River Ver. Located just five minutes from the M1 and M25, you’ll find us tucked away near the stunning country village of Radlett. Inside, the rich heritage of our building can be seen in plain sight. Think modern, cosy interiors with historic and standout features like rustic beams, old milling tools and patina-covered flooring. Atmosphere is always on the cards, whether you’re here for a get-up-and-go breakfast or a big celebration like a 60th birthday.

Outside, al fresco meals are always perfect by our charming river setting. Plus, if you have little ones on board, our play area is ideal for them to blow off steam.

Lovely stay in premier inn, lovely mill building setting for beefeater but needs a change of management. Fawlty towers meets monkeys tea party (without enough tea). Stood and told to wait alongside a very old couple who should have been seated immediately for a period of 10mins while being shifted around by the manager as we were 'in the way'. Eventually pointed out a table we could sit on and waited another 10 minutes for it to be cleaned. No spoons (eat cereal with a fork), no bread (waited until the end of breakfast for it to appear), no cooked breakfast still by 10.30am. Spilt cereal and milk on stairs not cleared up and when shift manager was told he replied 'we are too busy', offered to clear it up myself after it was still uncleared before older gentleman slipped on it. The poor girl running around doing 90% of the serving apologised and the manager absent. Mountain of bowls and uncleaned tables. No pastries, son only wanted a croissant for breakfast. Tiny cooked breakfast arrived at 10.35am pic attached (did have 2 uncooked sausages and a spoonful (fork full) of beans more, given more beans and tomatoes as out of bacon, hash browns, eggs, mushrooms, croissants, yoghurt, coffee machine broken, no gluten free bread, no bowls for cereal and manager takes zero accountability. Sorry to say there are rats in car park near beefeater bins - Lovely building though!

Good food, very noisy young uncontrolled children. Great historical setting. Great fourth visit, a helpful waitress. The food was well-cooked and enjoyable. Great setting. More level floor on the first floor than the top floor.

Disappointed with what has happened to this place. Sitting in the garden on the hottest day yet and the only menu available outside is twice the price of sitting inside. Asked to try the Beef popcorn while i decided and was told they have never had it in since it was launched. No wonder the place is dead. The staff are all very friendly though.

Stopped off for a delicious breakfast. Superb value for money. Friendly service. Clean and spacious. There are plenty of available car park spaces. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Loved the restaurant and that it has parts of the old mill on the restaurant. Service was slow I had to ask for ketchup about 4 times before I got it. I appreciate that there were not many staff about, but when I asked the 1st time, the waitress should have gone to get it for me before moving onto the next customer.
