We are proud of the wonderful offering we have in terms of a freshly prepared and varied menu – much of it locally sourced – and a wonderful selection of award winning real ales, wines and spirits.
The Red Lion still thrives today today as a successful community enterprise over 25 years after the venture was originally started; an accomplishment we are all very proud of. We are supported by wonderful patrons from within the village but have loyal and regular customers from much further afield who appreciate what a real country pub can offer.

An excellent village pub offering great food, great beer, wine and cider and an exceptionally welcoming atmosphere. This is one of my favourite pubs in the area. If you want a lunchtime snack or an evening meal, if you want to bring the family for a welcome change or a reasonably priced meal when cooking is too much effort. I really cannot find anything bad to say about this gem, I recommend both the Sausage and onion baguette and the Ham, egg and chips as a quick lunch alongside a pint of Aspell's or the Side Pocket.
Fantastic find, a lovely community run pub serving excellent food with a smile. Came across the pub by chance online and decided to give it a go, a refreshingly traditional style greeted us and ordering was done at the bar with a blackboard pinned up to show the menu. I had the mussels to start which were fresh and in a lovely sauce followed by the ham and leek crumble which was very tasty home cooking. Would definitely recommend a stop here.
Good local pub, food is good but just pub food nothing extraordinary. Service could be improved. It has a wonderful garden!
What a lovely pub, with great ales and a charming garden. Great way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon.
Definitely in my top 10 pubs in the world. Great beer, relaxed local, good food, in a bit of a time capsule but in a good way. Been back many times. Always a good pint. Had a lovely burger as well this time.
