An unusually set out pub but it is quaint and lovely. The beer is excellent and the staff were friendly.
Popped in for a Friday lunch of steak and chips with a pint of decent beer. The food was well cooked and served in good time. Cheerful, slightly Zany girl behind the bar - Just beware of the competition between the landlord and his old dog to see who can bark the loudest 😂
I paid a visit to this lovely pub a few weeks ago with some friends and just wanted to say that the staff and atmosphere/ambiance is fantastic! Good food too! Also, on my visit, I lost a glove and Kayleigh, a lovely lady who works at the pub was kind enough to return it to me in the post. I very much appreciated this! All staff are really nice and friendly, cosy pub atmosphere, great food and good selection of drinks. Well recommended!
I love the rear garden, especially in the summer. The front outside area is very nice too, and even more if it's sunny. The views from there are beautiful: the Boxmoor Park.
The Best Pub in Hemel Hampstead! The beer is a bit expensive but overall it’s a good place !

The Boxmoor Social Club was first established in 1891 in nearby St. Johns Road as an association for working men and boys. It relocated in Horsecroft Road shortly thereafter and has been a presence in the area ever since
