Had a great night with the youngsters playing darts in a league game it really was an enjoyable evening
Absolutely filthy, the place is a dump. Avoid at all costs, no draught beers, the fridge was empty, no sugar free drinks for a diabetic colleague. Poo on the mens toilet seat. The list goes on
Walked in and no drinks available, was passed over a diet coke that looked like pond water, which I handed back to then be told they had no other soft drinks available as they was waiting for a delivery. Most of the alcoholic drinks on the taps didn't work! One of the most unhygienic pubs I have ever been in, overgrown garden, cobwebs every where, dirty walls, dried poo all around the toilet and to finish it of there was no handwash!! - In desperate need of a refurb and a deep clean, wont be going there again.
A Nice Old 15th century local village pub with low ceilings & an open fire place with local craft beer on tap. Pool table, Darts,TV (sports), Modern Jukebox, garden & patio. Home made food cooked to order. Nice menu with very reasonable food & drink prices,Sunday Lunch/Roast dinner available. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. This is NOT a gastropub if you want that then go next door or goto berkhamsted & break your wallet. Also not far from the canal. (It's a boat friendly pub). Well worth stopping by for lunch or dinner.
Very ordinary pub that needs bit of refurbishment... But still found it quite cosy. Bit chilly interior, with the food they were happy to manage Sunday menu for vegetarians very well and the staff was really nice.
