The Green Dragon aims to be Barnet and the surrounding area's best food pub.
Dating back to the 18th Century, a public house has stood on the Green Dragon site for many years. We are a great destination food pub within a traditional environment known as much for our real ales and extensive wine as our great food.
Our menus change on a regular basis allowing us to take advantage of wonderful seasonal ingredients. With a dual focus on a great a la carte menu and a wonderful grill menu where we use a Josper grill specially imported so we get that great charcoal taste on steaks, burgers and other grilled meats.
In winter we have a roaring log fire whilst in the summer we have a huge garden with al fresco dining and some great views of the local countryside.
We cater for all, from families to business groups all looking to sample our delights. Whilst there is a massive focus on quality with our ales, wines and food we look to also offer great value and we have some incredible prices. Our two set lunch menu is only £9.95, and we have an evening two course set menu from Monday to Wednesday for only £11.95! Don’t forget to look for our wine and drink promotions that change regularly too.

We went for a Sunday Roast and it was delicious. The beef was cooked really well and the portion size was great. Quick service, really busy and lovely staff! Sticky toffee pudding was also yummy.
Not our first time there, and surely not the last! Traditional Pub with good food and friendly staff! Pet friendly, something that tells a lot to us!
We have been coming to the Barnet Green Dragon for many years and we never had any disappointment. We usually go for its special 2 courses lunch menu on Saturday. What we love the most about The Green Dragon is its food quality & its food presentation as it always make us feel like eating in a posh restaurant, but with a pub's price tag. The food is always delicious and we don't think we can find anywhere that can serve more value for money food than here, in Barnet, or maybe across the whole London. Service is always great too. All staffs are friendly and service is always attentive. Highly Recommended!
Incredible place for a Sunday roast!! I’ve been doing driving lessons around Barnet and we have gone past several times so we booked a table. The staff were really lovely and attentive without being overbearing. We all had the roast beef which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I love when it’s a single thick and juicy slice. We ended with sticky toffee pudding and a hot drink. Think this will be our frequent haunt for Sunday roasts now!
Not bad for Sunday roast.... chicken a bit dry and roast potatoes were a bit hit and miss, some were more like boiled as they were not crisp on the outside. I've had better but I've also had worse.
