Superb; the perfect balance between being a proper pub and serving really, really good food. The roast beef was amongst the best I've ever had, served in a friendly and relaxed way that perfectly matches the surroundings.

We had our Christmas party here on Saturday, 21 of us, no mean feat to serve hot food to this many, but Craig did calmly, and with help from his lovely team. The food was delicious and plenty of it. I think everyone in the party commented on how happy they were with the food and that they would be back soon.

What a magical place. A charming 14th century inn, beautifully maintained, with warm service from landlords Craig & Freddy and their team, an exquisite menu, and comfy rooms if you indulge a little too much. The care that has gone into making this place so special is impressive. Craig & Freddy have put in a massive amount of work since taking on the inn a few months ago and I’m sure it will continue to go from strength to strength. The pub is dog-friendly, and the pub dog, Horace, an apricot poodle, is already a local celebrity. A special mention for the kitchen team. The food is unreal. Quality, classic dishes, rich with flavour and prepared with finesse. Gives you all the more reason to spend a long evening here. Thank you Freddy, Adrian & Paige. We will be back as soon as we can!

Had my Birthday dinner there yesterday. Booked last minute, but the table was ready when we arrived Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. I had the beef and every element of the meal was outstanding. I must mention the gravy. So, so delicious. Definitely none of your gravy granules there and the beef was cooked to perfection too. All was spot on. Can't wait to go back.

What a special place. Craig and Freddy will make you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive. An incredible selection of drinks and the most wonderful food. You can enjoy it all whilst sitting by the roaring fire and taking in the spectacular views. There is such a cosy atmosphere and the history of the building is fascinating. An Inn with the biggest heart - not to be missed. We can’t wait to go back again!
