Went for a meal with family, it was so dirty š¤¢ tables not cleaned, the knife and forks were dirty, the glass where not clean and dirty. I don't know how this place is still open, went right down hill. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. š š¤¢š¤®
Fair size building. It was a cinema in a former life. Its been fitted out very nice and it still retains a lot of its former glory. It was quiet when we went in but pleasant enough. As usual with Wetherspoons Great prices
asked for well done steak came out burnt to a crisp with a tiny portion of mash. the plate looked depressing paid Ā£12.29 for my plate to be half empty. very disappointed.
Just another Wetherspoons reallyā¦ This one holds a special place in my heart as itās the place my fiancĆ©e and I had our first date. We have been here a lot since meeting 4 years ago and most of the time the experience is a positive one, the staff are always helpful and most of them are smiley and friendly - you just get the odd one or two who barely speak. The food is as youād expect from a Wetherspoons, I will use tonightās meal as my review focusā¦ It was āsteak clubā tonight so I went for the gourmet sirloin steak which includes a sauce, onion rings and chips for Ā£12.47 on the app (the physical menu says a cheaper price so who knows - the prices have rocketed up over the last year anyways) The steak arrived along with everyone elseās meals but my peppercorn sauce never arrived, I went to find a member of staff to ask him to get the sauce for me but he went to the bar first to check our order to make sure that I should have a sauce - I understand people could take advantage but I felt this was a bit unnecessary and took more time than it needed to. The steak itself was actually quite good, it was nice and succulent with plenty of flavour, I always go for slightly less cooked than Iād ideally have a steak as it always seems to get overcooked a little The chips were ok, just your typical āspoons chips. The mushroom was a bit pathetic, one tiny mushroom might as well not be there. The sauce (when it arrived) was nice too, very flavoursome and definitely full of peppercorns! The onion rings were decent, Iām not the biggest fan of onion rings anymore but these had a nice flavour, they were just a little soft in texture. Overall, itās a chain place for food with a generally good atmosphere, not quite as affordable as it used to be but still cheaper than a normal restaurant meal - for now anyway.
One big room. 7 real ales on. Good friendly staff. Standard spoons menu.
