A warm welcome to Heathbank – a small, friendly modern hotel on the Isle of Barra. Owned and managed by the MacNeil family, locals who having been born and raised on the island with much knowledge and understanding of island life. Supported by a super, efficient team of staff, the hotel is situated on the North end of the island, ideally placed with the famous beach airport and the Sound of Barra ferry just 2.5 miles away. We are 6 miles from Castlebay.

Absolute gem of a find. Fantastic food. Local homemade produce. Marion's fishcakes are ❤️ lovely bar area. Plenty of car parking. Seaviews. Lovely comfortable rooms. Fantastic staff and no words describe the owner Marion who is a gem and will do anything to make your stay one to remember. Fantastic meeting the locals in the bar and restaurant. Thanks Marion for such an amazing stay. We will be back

Delicious fresh seafood. The biggest scallops I've ever seen, so tasty. Service was very friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely small hotel in a quiet location with nice views, recently refurbished to a good standard. Friendly welcome for both tourists and locals. Very comfortable, with good food and friendly staff. The owner (Marion) really cares for the place and her customers. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious food! I visited heathbank yesterday with Family and the food was amazing. We began with the Mushroom starter (sorry I ate it all before taking a picture 🤣) which was beautiful and creamy with chunks of mushroom on crunch toast. Followed by the beef Sunday dinner 😊 it was just the right amount. Succulent beef slices with all the trimmings and a giant Yorkshire pudding. But I have to say the star of it all was the Apple Crumble and Custard!!!! such sweet and flavourful apples with a beautiful crumble on top and crunchy brandy snap style bottom. And let's not forget the warm and welcoming staff! They were brilliant too. I will definitely be back again!
