I go here regularly with my friend and we always have a decent meal , which is always cooked well whenever we go in . The people are really friendly. The waitress is always smiling and interacts with positive energy and the chef is a good laugh . All in all we usually have a good experience here 😁
Had a breakfast from here using the Toogoodtogo app. Was delicious - with all the things you'd wish for in a breakfast; eggs, bacon, beans, hash browns, fried bread, waffles, black pudding, tomatoes, sausages. Didn't eat in, but the restaurant looked clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Went here with friends for a catch-up. There was plenty of seating and parking and the restaurant was clean and well-ordered. We had the set menu which is a good value for the amount of food you get. The breaded chicken starters were very nice, but when the burgers arrived, all of them had half-burned buns. The beef was a little dry and the lettuce was lacking. The chips also tasted a little stale and bland and really needed the additional sauces. The brownies, when they eventually arrived, were a little chewy and lacked great taste. The mocktail we tried was, however, delicious. The waiting staff were generally very friendly and obliging and the place felt welcoming and comfortable. Overall, the place and staff were great, but some of the food left a lot to be desired.
Terrible quality food, dried up veg not enough choice, miserable server who wanted to give me strags of turkey from one side that was down to bone and when I said I wanted the other side his face hit the floor. I would not recommend the Haywain untill they get someone in to get the kitchen staff in order. They need to be whipped into shape then possibly it would be good.
We stopped for the carvery on our way back from a short break. We got there a little early but were seated straight away (there were others who hadn't booked turned away, which shows how popular the place is). The food was fantastic and the meat servings were generous and we helped ourselves to a wide selection of vegetables. Everything was very tasty and the service was excellent. We will definitely return when we are down that way again.
