Landlord needs more support from brewery to improve property needs updating outside
Place is a little deceiving looking from outside but don’t be put off. This is a very reasonable local pub who are trying their best during tough times. The roast was really tasty but the portion could have been larger and actually as we were leaving we seen others with portions almost double the size. I’m not sure if this was because they were locals or if it was later on and they had extra food left. Unfortunately was not massively full as we left.
The new landlord and landlady are really making an effort with this pub and it is now light and airy with lots of events/ food offerings during the week. The new Sunday Roast is excellent value at £10 and the apple crumble and custard for £2.50ps a bargain.
Very friendly and welcoming it's so nice to have somewhere to take the grandkids too with games and free ice creams, even the dog was welcome 🙂
It's alright, a dated looking pub on a 1950's or '60's housing green which has a kind if unusual charm of its own. Nothing special but a local for people for a refreshing drink with car park with fast food van located there & outside spaces opposite the green where there are other take away/s &/ shops. This pub does show sports & has a pool table & gaming machines & we watched the football World Cup there last year & it was packed!
