Situated in the northern part of Wem in an area occasionally referred to as Isleworth, the Hawkestone is a straightforward local serving its own residential area. Internally there are bar and lounge areas where most of the action takes place. A separate snug is also available but that does not have such regular use. It was once a part of the large local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.

Visited my son who took me to his local the service and staff were brilliant really enjoyed the atmosphere
A lovely local pub where everyone has a great time. Not the biggest of places but a great atmosphere none the less. Worth popping your head round the door for a look.
