The Havelock Tavern is one of London's original gastro pubs.
Opened in 1996 the Havelock Tavern is one of London's original gastro pubs. Unlike many others that have come and gone since, we have changed very little over that time. Rather than become a restaurant in an old pub building, we focus on being a pub that serves really good food. The atmosphere is lively and informal so that anyone can eat, drink and feel at home. We now take bookings for a limited area of the pub. We are not trying to be sophisticated, but aim to provide you with a good, relaxing time.
Our customers are a good mix of locals and others who have made the journey to spend an afternoon or evening with us. You are just as likely to see a table of mates catching up over a few pints as a couple tucking in to three courses. We don't have any music playing, so the sounds and atmosphere are provided by our guests.
Enjoyed this pub with a small but cosy courtyard. Good service tasty food, a bit different than most. A keeper.
Cosy, warm, and great staff. Inside its large, with a lovely garden and a fireplace to keep you warm. Good portion of sunday rost, and once you ask for the sauces (condiments), it is easy to see why the weekend would just fly by. Tv with sports needs tuning , but overall, it is a good place for family.
I visited the pub on a Sunday and was so disappointed by their chicken roast. Hardly any chicken, the leg and breast were both missing half the meat, and even the stuffing seemed to be half what should have been served! And this for £18!! At least it tasted good, hence the 2 stars.
A perfect pub experience on our arrival day in London! Great service, great food and great beer! We had the battered haddock with thick chips, smashed peas and a delicious tartare sauce for £ 17.50 and oven-baked vegetables (courgette and aubergine) plus seaweed on fregola pasta for £ 16.50 - DIVINE 👍👍👍! Not too pricey at all if you consider the big plates and the high quality of the food in such a lovely atmosphere. Thank you, Havelock staff! 😊
Great staff, beers, atmosphere and food. We returned time and time again when staying with family nearby. Highly recommended.
