Bar and Bistro, for a relaxing, civilised atmosphere.
Recently refurbished, this modern, decorated establishment looks rather like a shop as you walk in, but it functions as a pub and has wooden floors and beamed ceiling in its simply-furnished open-plan bar area. Outside there is a separate room used for live entertainment, and there is a restaurant downstairs. Ciders are from Weston's.
We have been twice on a groupon deal and have recommended to family also and they thoroughly enjoyed the food. Really pleasant staff and who ever is cooking the food needs praising as it was all delicious. I have had ribs and lasagne and both were amazing. Starters were great and the crepe was to die for. Definitely recommend this place to eat. Wisbech finally has a nice dining restaurant with lots of variety of food to offer.
This was the only decent place I found in Launceston. It had good food which I didn't consider expensive (I travel all over the country), really nice atmos and wifi. I had fish which was good - guys next to me had the house burger and steak which they said was very good. Very nice food and a good selection of drinks. Order your food early because we had a long wait. But it is one of the only pubs in Launceston with Beer garden.
Had a mini break in launceston and had an evening meal in here and so glad we did. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing generous portions and piping hot. The toilets are upstairs so if you have mobility issues maybe not practical. My friend had half chicken and chips in a basket and I had scampi and chips in a basket. We both throughly enjoyed what we had and like the title says the service was excellent. Great food, service and very reasonable. Sat night. Had the sharing platter for two with a bottle of house dry white wine £15.00 followed by main meals which were great. Our bed and breakfast guests ate here the night before and also had a great meal recommending it to us. They were from Denmark. Will definitely be back and would readily recommend.
We visited for lunch. Took a long time but due to innocent error and we were given 50% discount. It was worth the wait. Food was excellent and a good pint of ale! The 'Coca Cola' however tasted like a cheap substitute. Not nice. Overall friendly atmosphere and ok experience
I had an enjoyable meal, the price was a little higher than what im used to paying in the city, but ate all of my meal. There are extra rooms and space which is much lighter than the bar area. I would use again as I don't have any complaints.
