We visited for a birthday Sunday lunch. Firstly, it was really easy to book online, which is so convenient. The restaurant was busy, and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back! Highly recommend
Amazing lunch & service! Great menu choice, went with whitebait for starters with pork main and hubby had pulled pork croquette with steak main. Absolutely delicious! Banana creme brûlée & sticky toffee pudding were the best we’ve ever had. Outstanding service - friendly & welcoming with great quality food. Highly recommend & will definitely return!
The Harrow was a delightful establishment with an aura of warmth and comfort that enveloped one upon entering. The inviting ambiance was further enhanced by the attentive and accommodating staff, who went to great lengths to ensure that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The culinary creations presented by the Harrow's chefs were nothing short of masterpieces, each dish a symphony of flavors that tantalized the taste buds and left us craving for more. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite, and the meticulous attention to detail was a testament to the chef's passion and dedication. The service was equally impressive, with a team of well-trained and knowledgeable staff who anticipated the needs of their guests with grace and efficiency. Their attentiveness and genuine concern for the guests' well-being created an atmosphere of refined hospitality that was truly unmatched.
We ate here about a year ago but having read about a new chef, were eager to give it another try. Firstly, my wife had a rich mushroom soup with bread made by someone who truly know his business, served in a beautiful pot. I had the Duck liver & port parfait brûlée with kumquat compote and thyme brioche; the finest parfait I’ve ever been lucky enough to eat. The Kumquat accompaniment was simply sublime; an utter mystery why anyone would return it to the kitchen untouched. Sheer bliss; I asked for and received an extra slice of brioche at no charge which was a very nice touch. My wife had a beautifully presented and tasting chicken and celeriac main with cep jus while I had 7oz beef burger brioche bun, bacon, Monterey Jack, red onion jam, burger sauce and fries. I have this theory that the execution of seemingly simple dishes are a good guide to chef’s attention to details and execution. That burger had clearly had the same attention paid to it as if it was chateaubriand. The chips were seasoned properly, another mark of detail. My dessert of Dark chocolate crémeux pink peppercorn, crystalised pecans, blood orange gel was very good as was my wife’s Tonka bean crème brûlée hazelnut biscotti and caramelised yoghurt sorbet. I personally thought the Tonka didn’t come through but the crème part was smooth and tasty. Youghurt sorbet wasn’t for me but that’s personal taste. The gentleman who served us was very professional and friendly and is a credit to the Harrow. The whole meal was just a proper dining experience. Thank you and well done.
The food is absolutely delicious! The menu is varied so there's something for everyone and the portions are generous. Plus, the service was amazing - we were a large group (including 4 little ones) and every single member of staff was understanding, patient and attentive. Couldn't fault it.
