The small cafe on the left as you enter is very nice. Been here several times and with only about 12 seats inside (you can sit outside if preferred) it is usually quiet. Small choice of cakes snacks but surprisingly great coffee and good value. It is also very clean and (as a true test of cleanliness and attitude to hygiene) the toilets are better than most high end hotels!
A very nice, fresh and classy club with an amazing (if echo-y) function hall and a good range of well-priced drinks. The staff are wonderful and I look forward to seeing the place develop under it's new management ;)
Hi. We used the hall for birthday party and all the staff were amazing. We were able to decorate the hall in advance which was fantastic and everyone really helped in every way they could including helping us clear up at the end
Compared to what it used to be like, it's really good. Totally transformed, new decor, new separate cafe, toilets transformed, 2 wide screen tvs showing sport, pool table in nice bright function area, in fact it has a new modern feel but still retains it's original essence. Gardens have been transformed, too. Obviously, prices are now Harpenden prices but not a rip off. 2 ales, usual suspects in bottles & draught.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here and we couldn't have been happier! Not only is the venue beautiful and bright and open, but Tracy and her team are absolutley fantastic! We can't thank you enough! They were all so friendly, attentive and determined to make sure we had the most amazing night.. and we did! I'm so pleased that Tracy has taken over as manager, brilliant manager! Thank you xx
