Absolutely delicious lamb shank went large and loved it, really big serving. Went for Sunday lunch 3 adults and sat in back room with no other guests so no real atmosphere from other dinners.
The 2 of us were heading to the airport from Wakefield and randomly chose the pub to eat at. The service was prompt, atmosphere comfortable, and the food delicious; we both had Lamb shank. I would certainly drive out, to eat here again.
Just got back from the hare and hounds. 4 of us and 2 children, we can not say anything negative about the place, food is always excellent, drinks are good and not to pricey. The staff are lovely and the young girl that brought our food was very perlite and smiling 😃 all that is what makes a good pub, see you soon 😊 keep up the good work 👏
Had a lovely meal here with friends. I had the Steak & ale pie, my Husband had the gammon. Both meals were good honest food! Went down very well. The service was very friendly. Definitely would visit again when we are up there
Possibly the best roast I've had in my life. Every component was magical and a delight to the senses. The lamb leg was gr8. Service quick on a Sunday, classic suburban pub vibes
