Had an amazing stay at Hare & Hound! Staff was incredibly kind and helpful with all inquiries. The hotel/pub is so well designed and is perfect for a cozy weekend getaway. We had two delicious meals there as well!
Short notice booking for family birthday for 10 of us and baby. We were given the private dining area for our group, good friendly welcome on arrival, Food was delicious, great choice of starters . The sour dough with marmite butter was the favourite. Delicious honey roast belly of pork for me with good selection of vegetables and a huge yorkshire pudding , extra roast potatoes and gravy all round. Wild mushroom & lentil Wellington went down well with again extra vegetarian gravy. Well paced service from our waiter , also well timed coming in for ordering extra drinks during our meal. The whole place is very clean and bright. Ladies toilet have fab wallpaper and is very clean. The baby change area was clean and we were happy to use it . All the staff where very helpful, sorry I didn't get the name of the two who took our food orders and our drinks orders. But thankyou both. Loved it here and we will definitely all be back. Highly recommended. Good parking on site too.
The Hare and Hounds has a large restaurant ideal for groups, and a relatively small but cozy bar and pub seating area. The food is usually really good and there's always some nice things on the menu. It's fun to look at the taxidermy inside as well.
We stopped by travelling through on a local recommendation. Food was amazing (dinner menu). Service by the bar and wait staff exceptional. Great atmosphere and feeling to the dining and bar area. We’d go out of our way to visit again.
Great menu, couldn't decide so ended up sharing a load of starters and sides. Every dish was excellent, would highly recommend the bang bang cauliflower and the fries were great. Dog friendly in the bar area. Really lovely decor, service was really quick
