Fantastic hospitality by the lady with short hair, made us feel very welcome. The Harbour Inn ale is surprisingly moreish given that it's actually brewed by carlsberg and definitely went down a treat. Proper homecooked food, with the best roulade we've ever tasted. Unfortunately the chicken burger was slightly underdone for our liking, and the steak pie lacked a little depth of flavour but otherwise pretty good. On the whole a welcoming place, with fairly good food to top it off, the service being absolutely top notch.
I cannot rate this place highly enough in every regard. I spent one night here with my dog and every point of the stay was excellent. The room was quite, comfortable and with an amazing view. I was served dinner to my room to accommodate the dog and this was exceptional as well as a tasty breakfast the next morning. The location is perfect for a quiet break away and taking a walk to the beach at night will give you the best unadulterated view of the night sky. Highly recommend!
Spent New Year in Garlieston with a group of friends and went to The Harbour Inn for a meal one evening. Can't say a single bad word about our experience. There were 9 of us and they easily catered to us all. Service was swift and friendly, and the food was fantastic. Lovely bar area too if you're just stopping for a drink.
We stopped for lunch today. Fish, chips and garden peas. Not a dish I would normally think of reviewing much, but well, they deserve it! Fish was in a light crispy batter, not heavy, doing a perfect job of keeping the fish fresh and moist and delicious. The chips freshly made, hand cut...not frozen. Even the peas were cooked well. To add to this the price was very good and in an idyllic area Thoroughly recommended!
We went for a evening meal while on holiday in the area. We were very pleased with the welcome and service. The food was wonderful! I had the ribs and the best potato wedges ever. I needed several napkins, the sauce on the ribs was gorgeous. Husband had fish 'n chips. He said it was very good. Portions were very generous, we were stuffed. Highly recommend you visit, tho you'll have to boo, as its very popular even out of holiday time
