Ex-Courage, Inntrepreneur, Unique, now Enterprise Inns. Narrow interior, with plaster-moulded cornice and ceiling roses, classical frieze under the ceiling, thin column with fancy capital, wallpaper, red-upholstered banquettes. Decent mix of longer-standing and more recent incomer locals.

Super place to watch sport. Final day of the fifth test was superb. Efficient friendly service, great furniture and the staff keep the place clean and tidy. Thanks for a great day.
I love this place (not just because it's my local) but because it's true to what a classic pub should always be - friendly staff, classic drinks, classic bar snacks and some sport on the TV. With an added bonus it has a selection of games that you can borrow to play in the venue. Great place
Decent pub very close to Oval Station. Only one cask beer on handpump when I visited. Nicely refurbished since I last had a pint here about 4 years ago. A number of television screens showing various sports when I was there on a Saturday evening. Very friendly lady running the bar. A few tables outside on the pavement.
Like Cheers. Good times. Great pie 🥧 and food, from Cheshire chef Nicola! Freshly prepared and delicious. Great place to watch the Rugby League world cup!
