Only came for drinks after a walk but drinks were good value and staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere and dog friendly in certain areas.
We didn't stay here, just popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for the train. It was really lovely inside, great decor and great service. Would love to book a room sometime.
The hotel is quite smart and our room was lovely, bathroom modern and everything functional. The bar area is also lovely. The only criticism is the dining room where we ate dinner and breakfast. Astronomers have assured me that there are moons of Neptune that have more atmosphere.
Great budget place to stay, located in the heart of Chirk. Parking at the back of the property, but remember to register on the system in the reception to avoid a fine. Did not eat in the evening as we arrived late, but breakfast was great. choice of English, vegetarian, yoghurt, cereal, juices, and tea and coffee. All served hot and nicely cooked. Staff are all friendly and work hard to look after guests. Stayed here once before and will be back again
A real friendly welcome after a morning spent walking in the ☔️ around Chirk Castle. The snacks were huge - mature Cheddar and pickle toasted sandwich with fries and a terrific home made coleslaw. The beer from Big Hand Brewery brewed just up the road in Wrexham was also excellent. Plenty of rooms where to drink and dine. Chirk is lucky to have a pub lije this.
