Have eaten here several times over the years (not a local). excellent slow cooked shin of beef with mash. The food was served hot and the staff super friendly. 2 courses with tip approx £30 each - good deal. I would add they had a beer from Brixton Brewery on draught - one of my favs and usually only found on draught in London. Would return
We had our Christmas meal at the Bugle and have to say that the food was delicious. The Christmas menu had a good choice of options and the service was exemplary also. I have no negatives about the food or service but unfortunately I do regarding parking. We struggled to find a space in the carpark and had to drive further up the road which, with no street lighting and being a narrow road, wasn’t ideal. So fab little place to eat but you may struggle to park at busy times!
Over rated food and charging far too much for Sunday Roasts..came out cold not seasoned tasteless gravy. Great location and good food in the week however out of their depth with the volume of punters on a Sunday. Need to up their game to justify the pounds!
We arrived early then our booking, manage to get parking straight away, we went to the bar and were served immediately for our drinks. Later we were called to our table when it was ready. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent the Sunday roast was to die for, well worth the price. Was only there for a meal not to use the hotel.
Went for Sunday lunch today, 20th August 2023. The food was excellent and the service was divine. One issue with obtaining a Gluten Free meal was flagged by the staff and immediately alternatives were presented. A minor issue was that the cutlery seems a bit aged and struggled a bit sometimes, it could do with a refresh. Having said that, there is nothing that would stop me visiting again for such a delicious meal. P.S. the puddings are pretty spectacular.
