A cosy community pub in Kings Worthy, Winchester, The King Charles rolls out a royal welcome for all the family. Known locally as The Charlie, it’s home to traditional pub food, delicious drinks and bags of outdoor space, with a play area on its way for added family friendliness!.
A great evening with buddies. The I had steak with blue Stilton sauce. The steak was perfect. I personally prefer chunky triple cooked chips, but that's just me.
What a lovely establishment! Absolutely fantastic food! The lamb rump was DELICIOUS and beautifully presented as was the beef with horseradish mash. ( My photos don't do the dishes justice!) Great atmosphere, roomy but cosy. The staff were very friendly and extremely professional. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.
We had a lovely meal and they made our dog feel special too. We tend to book ahead. Between us we enjoyed the pork cutlet, a steak and the corn fed chicken - all delicious. We will be back :0)
Excellent family pub - stopped in on the evening tired and stressed from travelling with overtired children. Immediately welcomed by friendly staff, who took our order promptly. The kids play area is amazing and the food arrived quickly and was extremely good, my pork belly was amazing and my partner's fish and chips very good. The kids menus were very good too, proper sausages and the kids fish fingers were proper bits of fish battered and fried.
The pub has been refurbished since a much earlier visits made in 2016. The pub opens at 1200 hrs for lunch. We have now made several visits with friends for lunch especially during 2019. November 2019 Another visit for lunch with our friends We are always made to feel welcome and this always makes our visit a very enjoyable experience. There is a wide choice on the menu using local produce. The food served is always of good quality. Today's visit the meals were of excellent quality. It is a surprise there are not a few more customers to enjoy this experience. The pub is kept clean. The toilets are very clean .
