Just felt I had to leave a review based on yesterdays experience. This is a lovely atmosphere place to eat , in tastefully furnished surroundings with friendly and helpful staff, let down badly by the hugely disappointing food. There was a long wait for the food to arrive. I ordered a club sandwich. What arrived was a rock hard, over toasted pile of bread with very little filling, all held together by a huge stake jammed down the middle of it. Accompanied by very skinny chips. The pieces of toast that I did tackle were so hard that they took the skin off the inside of my mouth. The other meal ordered was the BBQ chicken. This tasted nice ,I am told, but it was very difficult to cut as it was tough. The coleslaw accompaniment was warm and had a tang of coriander about it. It got tasted then left. Very very disappointing visit. Not money well spent I’m afraid and the dessert menu was not enticing so we skipped that treat. Not planning a return visit here which is a shame as the surrounding dining area is great and the staff excellent. Food very poor.

We arrived here late after a bad experience at a different place and I'm so pleased we came. The staff were lovely, welcoming and smiley! Found us a table quickly - the layout is great with lots of space so you're not sitting on top of another table - and we felt really relaxed. We all had a roast; my eldest son had chicken and my younger son and I had the beef and wow, it was melt in the mouth! Gorgeous flavour, well cooked and 3 decent slices. Plenty of lovely roasties and four different veg including red cabbage which was lovely! My son had chicken and it was enormous and came with stuffing too, he reported it was also moist and cooked to perfection. Lots of gravy in individual jugs so you can pour as much as you like and there was plenty. Price wise it was value for money and even the decaf coffee was excellent, we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Not been here for a few years and the improvements are impressive! Previously a fairly standard pub with dining has become a fresh, quirky and sumptuous establishment with friendly staff, good food and a warren of nooks and crannies to seat yourself in and drink up the atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food was the real let down here. We went for a staff lunch pre christmas. the atmosphere is great and the place looks amazing. The staff are freindly and they were a little rushed. this was not a problem as we know it was the lunch period and we were not in too much of rush. The food was the big no no. Everything is bread heavy! The club was dry. the fish finger sandwich had 2 inch doorstep bread with two tiny frozen fish fingers (Type you see in the supermarket). Not freshly battered and deep fried. Im afraid to say this was boil in bag at its best and whilst they tried to cover this up with bread, there was no mistake that this was low quality. The front of house were great to be fair but I hope the manager picks up with the kitchen staff.

Lovely meal. Gluten free options are marked on the menu and you’re provided with a tablet that shows all allergens and calories. Service was a touch slow but it was very busy. Looking forward to going back to try a few more meals. The salad was very nice
