This is such a Southampton treasure and I've seen so many incredible shows here over the years. Wheelchair access is not great at all (old building) but the staff are always very helpful, and generally the vibes are great, so patrons will happily lend a hand too. Support this place as much as you can at a difficult time to be an independent music venue, we can't afford to lose it!

really great venue, had a brilliant night. the stage is high so its comfortable to stand at if you are at the front like i was, but because of the height you'll still be able to see the band from the back. the crowd space is an upside down L-shape rather than the traditional rectangle shape you'd expect from a venue and the room is full of fun things to look at in between sets, including loads and loads of stickers along the stage (and in the toilets). also not too far from west quay shopping centre so there's something to do if you arrive in southampton too early. also very close to the train station (about a 20 minute walk, or 5-10 minutes in a car), so there's no need to worry about missing the last train if your show ends at about 11pm. a really fun venue overall, i hope i get to go again!

Great, traditional, small, live music venue with very good bar. The stage and audience area is quite small and can be cramped, but I have always found somewhere I feel comfortable. Please go there and help keep these small venues in business. They have some really good bands playing.

Great small venue. It's basically a pub at the front with a larger but intimate room for some great bands for about 200 people l estimated. Use public transport and have a few pints!

Never had a bad night here. This iconic venue is among the greatest in the UK. Its lack in size is made up for in its energy and heritage. Some of the world's greatest bands have been through here at one point in their careers. The intimacy of the gigs is something that can't be compared, the other upside is the venue don't restrict you from crowd surfing, moshing, and other fun stuff either, they understand it adds to the incredible experience. It has everything you need for a great evening of live music. Make sure you buy your tickets online ahead of time because its a very popular place to go, saying that you may get lucky with tickets if you just rock up.
