Booked for my Nan's 80th birthday. Basically were ignored the whole time because there was a wedding going on so all the staff were working on that. Took ages and ages for anyone to come by to take any orders. Very long wait for food. My boyfriend and I had the same starter which came out in different portion sizes. My nan was served soup with no spoon. Was told they had run out temporarily as they were being used for the wedding. So she had to wait for a spoon while the rest of us ate. My dad complained afterwards by phone but the managed never bothered getting back in touch with him. Should have been a special celebration for an 80th birthday but it was miserable. Why accept extra bookings when holding a wedding if you clearly don't have the staff or resources?

Test Valley Motor Enthusiasts Club started our New Year's Day Run 2024 at the Potters Heron. Allocated parking was provided at 10 am as previously arranged. 40+ of our members returned to enjoy a pre arranged lunch. Rachel was very helpful in planning the event. Lunch was served in the seasonally decorated Garden Room by friendly staff who ensured that everyone received their pre ordered choice from the menu. Food was good as was the service despite this being the day after what would have been a busy New Year's Eve. Thank you everyone at Potters Heron.

I had a meeting at the Potters Heron with some colleagues and stayed over. Great facilities for a meeting, had super dinner, good choice and great service. My room was lovely and warm and spacious. Will definately come and stay again

Always enjoy staying at the Potters Heron. Nice rooms - although some could do with redecorating (nothing major, just a bit tired). The food is absolutely amazing - mind was blown on my last trip. Burger and fish finger sandwich were both amazing - we’re still talking about them. Lovely staff too!

We are staying in the hotel however will leave a review once left. Our first experience for lunchtime was a disaster. We came back to chandlers Ford to visit family and it’s sad to see the potters heron not how it was. Staff seem so confused as to what they are doing and lost to be fair. Turning elderly customers down who had turned up for lunch when the place was empty. We waited for our food for about 45mins. My husband had just run half a marathon and was starving! To receive burnt bread and chips still frozen. Was so depressing. The soup clearly not homemade ( not everywhere does, I understand) however had some very strange after taste for a carrot and coriander soup. Such a shame as we were both starving. An elderly gentleman sat behind us had the same sandwich which was even worse looking. Do people check what is being sent out to customers??
