About us

Fuller’s pubs are renowned for outstanding cask conditioned ale, but our drinks range extends far beyond beer.

With a constantly changing range, you’ll always be able to sample something new and interesting whether it’s a craft lager, seasonal ale, cider, spirit, artisan soft drink, or one of our exclusive wines.

Proud to serve fresh, locally sourced Hampshire produce, The White Buck offers one of the finest menus in the New Forest. From gourmet sandwiches to sumptuous steaks, everything is home-cooked by our team of talented chefs.

Our wonderful new dishes are carefully crafted like our Pan Roasted Cod Loin, delicious Chicken Supreme – or treat your traditional taste buds to classis Fuller’s Frontier Beer Battered Sustainable Cod.

Beautiful breakfasts are served here too, whether you’re staying the night with us or not. An A La Carte menu is available on a day to day basis at £12.50 per person.

Whenever you choose to visit, we would strongly advise you to book a table – the dining rooms are in high-demand at peak times!.

We booked a special rate overnight stay and was absolutely delighted with our choice. The staff in particular were very welcoming and extremely accommodating. We discussed a particular cocktail with Woody that wasn’t on the menu and within an hour or so he bought one over to the table for us to try!! Great customer service. We’ll definitely come again.

The atmosphere here at the Pub is very good. The food is first class. If you are a dog owner your canine is welcome to sit by your feet while you enjoy your food and drink.

Stayed for one night. Lovely hotel, really nice decor and room superb with complimentary drinks when arrived. Location is great and staff were attentive and friendly. The only thing that lets it down and would deter us from revisiting is the food. Evening meal was mediocre and very small portions for the price. Very limited menu and sketchy information for food alllergies which is a big problem for myself. Breakfast was very overcooked and poor quality sausages. Coffee Luke warm and gluten free bread awful. Such a shame 🙁

We attended a New Year evening here at the White Buck. We paid £450 pounds for a table of six for a NY meal of three courses. The poor staff just couldn't cope and we had to wait for more than an hour to receive a first drink, which only took place after we complained. At 75 quid a head, the food was really unexceptional, two of our group did not have parts of the meal arrive at all, and we had to complain to receive the complimentary glass of bubbly. It just looked like a Harvester type of arrangement, not what you'd expect for that level of fee. Staff were overwhelmed and the place was packed out beyond their ability to cope. The live music was a guy basically doing karaoke with a guitar, again, not what we expected for that fee per head.

Had evening meal here. Good selection of dishes, we had vegetable curry (very hot! Perhaps too hot, warning would have been good) and sea bass with king prawns and cauliflower puree (sea bass was too salty). The dishes were well presented, but I wondered if the chef tasted the dishes. Sticky toffee with salted cameral ice cream was great. Service was very good. Decor was very nice, old world pub tastefully done with nice atmosphere. Would hesitatingly recommend.
