Popped in for a beer or two as it's my nearest local... Very friendly with both bar staff and locals willing to chat. No feeling of why is a stranger in my bar... If you fancy a quick pint in a old school Pompey pub then I would recommend this place... Really like it (uncle Pete)

Great local pub with friendly staff. Excellent location for a live band with a rocking atmosphere
Lovely old pub top end of New Road, big large bar sadly no real ale on offer so had to opt for John Smiths, friendly welcoming staff, nice and clean and plenty of comfortable seating. Very quiet for a Saturday night but playing some 50s and 60s on the juke box. Worth a visit near to the Winchester Arms and Mermaid too so could have a good sesh here not forgetting The Druids and Graham Arms.
Another great out of the way city pub. Enjoyed a Sunday evening there with The Minkies.
