With views over the historic Lymington harbour, and the New Forest on our doorstep, we are the perfect Hampshire base for those craving a relaxing retreat by the sea.
Expect locally sourced fare, with particular focus on fresh fish caught in local waters, to be enjoyed next to real log fires in winter or on the elegant outdoor terrace overlooking the Solent in summer. Our six nautical-themed bedrooms continue the seaside vibe, with unique features, such as a Victorian-style roll-top baths in four of the rooms, and little touches of luxury for an excellent night’s sleep after all that sea air.
Only two hours’ drive from London, this gorgeous Georgian port town is renowned for its sailing and has two marinas. Charter a yacht and take to the Solent to find your sea legs, or catch a ferry to explore the Isle of Wight. Visit the ancient woodlands and heathlands of the New Forest for walking, cycling and pony riding adventures, or stay in town and follow the sea wall on foot or bike.
A lovely spot for a drink in Lymington, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There was plenty of draught beers, ciders and lagers to choose from, as well as an extensive list of spirits and cocktails. There is also a nice garden and outdoor area when the sun is shining. We didn’t eat, but it sounded a great menu, and I will definitely stop for lunch next time I’m in Lymington. It’s also a great start or end point for a range of fabulous walks.
We chose this pub for an evening meal with visiting family, having experienced a very tasty lunch with friends back in the summer. The staff were really friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and piping hot. We would highly recommend it. Thank you
Fab place to stay, lovely, friendly staff. Great car park and walkable into Lymington. Dinner looks good and breakfast was really delicious. Two things, the teabags had tea stains dripped over them from the last people who stayed which wasn't great, and I had to move the bed as I dropped something that rolled underneath and found some old tissues underneath, so maybe check underneath more often. Honestly only a small grumble though as bathroom and room itself was clean and I've told others about how lovely it is.
All i can say is this, the BEST food i have ever tasted, each plate we ate was amazing, the starter soup was delicious and never have i tired that type before. The chef needs a pay rise cause i left here wanting to go back in a eat even more but 2 desserts id also had meant i was full. I have eaten around the world and in Michelin chefs food but yours was the best ever
Lovely room, spotlessly clean. Bed was large and comfortable. Shower room was clean and the shower was hot and easy to use. Tea, coffee and bottled water was provided and replenished daily. Breakfast in the hotel was freshly cooked to order. Evening meal was a little on the expensive side as the portions didn't reflect the price. This really was the only minor negative of the whole stay. We would definitely recommend.
