Delicious food and warm and cosy atmosphere. Friends stayed there for a holiday and absolutely loved it! Spacious rooms, super clean and it has everything you need. It has definitely become our favourite pub in the area 😊

Visited the Jolly with some friends for a meal and a drink. Our waiter, Jacob, was attentive and friendly. Going so far as to go to the kitchen multiple times to check for allergens- sorry and thank you! The food was delicious, from starters to dessert. Everything was immaculately presented and I felt like I was being delivered art on a plate! I have a massive sweet tooth and the white chocolate creme brûlée was absolutely to die for. Thank you very much to the kitchen and front of house team for having us.

An extremely friendly welcome Being honest I wasn’t expecting much .. a pub with rooms but what I got was a warm welcome, an open fire and hotel quality bed! The room was cold on entering but wow they have the most efficient heating ever!! Toasty in no time .. felt more eco to do it this way which is a bonus for me Lovely breakfast too. I didn’t get to try the evening menu as I was staying at a friends nearby but what we did sample made for a lovely Boxing Day stay A big thank you to the team at the jolly drover .. everyone we met was so lovely and welcoming.

Our second visit here tonight to see if it really is as good as it seemed first time. It definitely was! The staff are great, very friendly and efficient. The speed of service was just right. The atmosphere was very pleasant too. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the pork bites with chutney as a starter (an absolute must have!), followed by the generously portioned trio roast (beef, lamb and pork - 2 slices of each), with 5 veg, potatoes and giant crispy Yorkshire pudding. Although we were utterly stuffed by this point, when shown the dessert board we couldn’t resist temptation and had the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake with fresh berries and double cream, and a squidgy chocolate brownie topped with mini marshmallows, with creamy vanilla ice cream and fresh berries. I would highly recommend visiting for a Sunday roast; it’s definitely our new favourite spot and will be returning again very soon!

Visited The Jolly Drover as a pub. So, I didn't use the hotel facilities. As for a pub, it is situated in the countryside. The staff and other customers were pleasant. Drinks were a bit pricey. It had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A lovely log fire alight in the huge fireplace. Overall, it is worth a visit, especially during the winter months, as it is warm and cosy.
