Here at the Deer’s Hut we are at the very heart of the community we serve – and very proud to be so – but the Deer’s Hut is so much more than just a local pub. We’re not only popular with the locals; we’re also popular with the many visitors that we welcome from much further afield.

All are welcome at the Deer’s Hut, a genuine country pub offering genuine country hospitality.

Our beautiful building, a former Queen Anne Hunting Lodge dating back to the 1600’s, is the perfect setting for the local community, and those visiting or passing through, to relax, enjoy a drink and appreciate the fine local produce that is served as part of our menu.

The Deer’s Hut has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and the finished results speak for themselves; wonderful to look at and welcoming to visit – everything a top quality English pub should be.

What a nice surprise to be here celebrating Xmas dinner with friends and family. Buzzing with the locals, all table full and lovely Xmas decorations. Food were well presented and very delicious indeed. Staff were lovely too esp Mary Claire who was looking after us. Easy parking and easy to get there.

Had a fabulous Christmas meal here this week. Very busy when we visited. The pub is very welcoming and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Service was exemplary and the food sublime. Overall, an outstanding experience. Must surely be the most successful pub in Hampshire.

Wow!! What can I say about this fabulous establishment. My best friends had their wedding here on Saturday, the venue and staff blew me out the water with how they had decorated the venue, going above and beyond with all the extras, the garden looked stunning! The service was brilliant, the staff were attentive and lovely. Big thank you to Chris with all the help for the cake and other bits, legend! Bar staff were superb and the catering/service staff too. Food was sooo good! Nothing was too much. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, staff were all friendly, food spot on. We even went back for a roast on Sunday…10/10! We live 40 mins away and don’t drive but will be making it back up for a rosy for sure!! Big thank you to Debbie, Chris and the team. An absolute credit and incredible pub/venue

One of the best roast dinners around. Turned up few hours before, as there is a nice walk you can go on. Came back , originally table was booked for inside, asked if it was ok to eat outside the front , where there is ample seating and tables. They said it was absolutely fine to do that. Roast beef dinner was amazing! Every single part of the dinner was bursting with separate flavours! Probably one of the best roast dinners in the area! Worth every penny, some would say it's expensive at 20 pound, but not when you get that kind of quality, it's worth the money! Lonely old pub too, with low ceilings and wood beams , massive garden area with cool long wooden benches for this bigger groups.
