A historic country pub in the lovely village of Eversley Cross, serving top quality fresh food, well-kept ales, great wine and a range of grand gin & tonics.
The Chequers became a Peach Pub in June 2013. We take huge pride in serving the best ingredients we can find, from ethical producers, freshly prepared by our chefs. Whether you pop in for a pint, a business lunch or a special dinner, we promise you a friendly welcome. All day long.
We enjoyed a wonderful morning at the chequers. Delicious breakfast, wonderful, warming & welcoming atmosphere, excellent service. Loved the coffee & our little one was so happy with his smarties treat!! Lovely touch! We will be back! Highly recommend.
Booked here for my mum's family celebrations. Nice cosy pub helpful staff enjoyable food and daily specials board we all enjoyed roast dinners and came around with extra which never seen before! The car park is extremely busy so this needs some improvement for the future especially in the autumn / winter months!
Great location, 5mins walk from the back entrance to horse shoe lake so perfect place to finish off a nice walk. Lovely and comfortable outside seating overlooking a local cricket ground. With blankets and cushions offered for extra warm and comfort. Lovely, welcoming and friendly staff. The food is absolutely delicious and there's a great choice of specials. We had the Hake which tasted so fresh and full of flavours. The Korean style potatoes were a complete delight to taste and explore and the soup to start was mouth watering. The staff really went beyond the call of duty to make our experience amazing, we wete their to celebrate me passing my degree and it was the perfect place to it. The wine was delicious and the beer range was varied. Nothing like a refreshing hogs back tea after a long walk. The prices were reasonable and even though there's a road close you hardly notice its existence, I highly recommend it.
Amazing roast dinner today and such lovely friendly staff. Outside seating area is great too. Made my day when they came around offering extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds too! What a bonus 🌟
We chose the Chequers for an evening meal to celebrate after our register office wedding ceremony with a small group of friends. From the first contact the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were given a private area to eat in. We were asked if we wanted to decorate the area - in fact we were too tied up with other arrangements to do this, and when we arrived we found that the staff had done this for us, including personalised messages. We were really touched by this. The food and service were excellent, and good value for money. Particular thanks to Charlotte and Laura who were our main contacts.
