Haven't had food but does look good, pub itself is fantastic,on the seafront, really nice
What an amazing find. The food was amazing, and the drinks were great and suck a great price. I would recommend if you are In the area to go.
Very tasty turkey sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Lots of different veg, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, really lovely gravy. Nice and hot. Caramel cheesecake and chocolate brownie for dessert.
Lovly Pub.The staff made me feel very welcome. A genuine sense that they really did care. I notice that they were saying, hi, to alot of their regulars. I had a mixed roast. I'm a big guy. But I felt like I could of done with couple more Roast potatoes, 3 served. Only one pig in a blanket too. I did only book an half hour before I ate, don't know it that affected anything. I'm sure the amount would be adequate for the average diners. Just saying. My veg came in separate blow it had sat in the kitchen a little too long. But the contents were good quality and well cooked. Otherwise the food was lovly. Especially the cauliflower cheese, such a good flavour. I did have room for dessert tho. A Lemon marang pie, with cream. Again a little small. I was surprised to see squirty cream, alongside my pie, but it could of been frash cream piped, it tasted good tho. The pie lacked that enough lemon tang, for me. A very thin marang topping. But it was fine. A lovly touch, was a sprig of fresh mint leaves on top of my pie. That really elevated that dish, complimenting it superbly. The pub itself is clean, cosy and as I said, very friendly. Just across a main road is the beach! You can see the sea through the window. I did get to sit out the front to finish my Guinness, a pleasant view to be had. They a have a lovely outdoor space out the back. Smallish carpark, well lade out maximising the parking in that space. Overall a enjoyable pub. I will definitely be going back. I may even ask for more roast potatoes and pigs in blankets. I don't mind paying a bit more. Maybe it's me who is the pig, smiles.
Loved this bar, friendly welcoming staff who went out of the way to make me the cocktail I was really fancying on a hot day even though they were in between changing cocktail menu! Appreciated that. Beautiful location, we sat outside on the road watching the world go by and enjoying the views of the sea and beach area opposite. Also really nice garden to the back. I also snacked on some whitebait which were delicious and served efficiently. The food coning out looked so good and we will definatley return on our next visit.
