Burgers are now terrible waffer thin, so easily burnt like a biscuit. Good selection of beer. No pizza available at this spoons. Seats really dirty and sticky probably the worse I've seen in spoons.
Great Wetherspoons pub right opposite the train station š ideally positioned but strangely not offering an upstairs bar. Large garden for spring and summer but that's only half of our miserable yearly weather. Staff very friendly and work exceptionally hard to keep the bar and seating tidy. Lovely pub.
THIS BAR DOES NOT ACCEPT FOREIGNERS! Iām a South African in the UK on a work visa. I come here often, but got turned away tonight at the bar because they ācannot acceptā my South African Drivers license all of a sudden. This is the only form of identification I have, as I obviously canāt get a British ID, and Iām not going out drinking with my passport! The Bouncers at the door let me in as they always do, but for some reason tonight they just refused to serve me. Absolutely ridiculous! Whoever the manager is he should do his research. Also, this place is filthy.
Great place, good food, the breakfast was delicious. The only thing to mention is the tidiness as this was the dirtiest Wetherspoon we been into yet. Small detail but can do a big difference, especially as we checked 4 tables until we find one that was acceptable. š
The food was good and delivered in a reasonable time. However, there was no Steak and Kidney pudding available. Staff showed little interest in being customer focused. Some of the tables were very dirty. Parking close by is at the shopping centre a three minute walk away.
