Excellent food and good atmosphere. The menu is very small but this place is all about quality. So what they do offer is of the highest standard. I would definitely recommend a visit.
We had a wonderful meal on Saturday night. The 7 course tasting menu was a real treat. The chocolate bar was amazing. As they were small dishes we did have the cheese as an addition at the end. My only gripe is the lack of alcohol free drinks. There are some lovely zero wines that could be offered, especially as this place is in the sticks.
A birthday celebration where we decided to try a more than the run of the meal pub food we usually have elsewhere. Based on the reviews we thought we would try the Purefoy and were not disappointed. No its not cheap if you go for the taster menu as we did but it was pretty sensational. A lovely experience both for the food and the friendly staff and we are already looking forward to the next big birthday in 3 weeks when we plan on returning . Back again in mid May. Good service. Good food.
My wife loves this place so booked a Sunday lunch for 4 as my 60th birthday treat. Lovely building, full of character and tastefully furnished. Picturesque village location with good view of impressive traditional church and grounds on adjacent slope. Excellent menu with food perfectly prepared and presented. Friendly, helpful hosts who even made an amazing birthday cake. Looking forward to next visit already.
Wonderful dinner experience with their testing menu. Every dish was amazingly good and some of them surprised me too in a good way. Their Mac and cheese was 10 out of 10! Definitely recommend to others and will come back again!
