Great place, besides from the couple who sit in the corner all day everyday who drink and criticise anyone and anything that walks through the door. The old basing legion would be such a friendly place without them. Credit to the bar staff who are so friendly.
A little tattie around the edges being such an old venue, but steeped in character and history with its heritage. The carpark has seen better days but it is spacious and parking is free. This is a typical village setting venue in the middle of the village, and offers affordable rates for room hire. The hall is comfortable for a dance floor, bar and plenty of seating area. The stage is small but good. It is quirky and old-style but warmly so.
A great place to socialise with ex forces friends, and have the odd beer or two, while watching sky sports or playing pool. Also the Branch hold their monthly meetings here as well as a rehearsal venue for the Corps of Drums. A warm welcome is extended to any new members.
Good function room for parties and receptions. Good disabled access except for a small step to most of the seating. No disabled toilet a available for the function room.
Thoroughly enjoyed playing in the big party room out the back of this place. Front room has a bar and a big telly, and pool table. Back room, large space good for barn dancing, and bar, and nice seated area off to the side of the floor.
