Had the burns night menu. I guess it was £28 for 4 courses and I made the mistake of ordering the crab as a starter. Inedible at best. Anyway still had a lovely evening as the poor food was quite entertaining and we were in good company. This pub has so much potential between staff and decor, shame about the food.
Very cozy place to eat. I ate steak but sea food should be better. Good selection of food and lots of seating inside and outside. Busy in weekend
Absolutely amazing place. All the staff are super friendly. The food is amazing and reasonably priced given how good quality it is. We took our new puppy there and they were extremely accommodating and even brought him a bowl of water. We were served by Jojo? Who was superb. Super friendly guy!! Will definitely use again. I feel a local coming on 😊😊
Lovely pub in old basing, nice beer garden out back and incredible roast dinners. Staff were all amazing.
Very nice pub! Food is great and really well presented. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good parking available. Highly recommend

At the time of the 1841 census the building now known as “The Game Keepers” was just a house occupied by Joseph Phillips – a shoemaker, his wife Elizabeth, four children and his brother who was a farm labourer.
