About us

The Three Horseshoes is the quintessential English, country, village inn set in picturesque countryside in the South Downs National Park in leafy, rural Hampshire.

Located approximately halfway between London and Southampton, we are prominently situated on the B3004 only 5 minutes away from the historic market town of Alton and just over a mile from the Worldham Golf Course. We are a regular stop for walkers enjoying the famous Hangers Way and for those heading to or from the Watercress Line.

Offering a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere our menus are filled with hearty favourites, country pub classics and a surprise or three, while our bar is fully stocked with some of the UK’s best cask ales, perfectly chilled lagers and fine wines and spirits to suit every taste. All can be enjoyed in our charming, walled, secret garden or in front of one of the crackling log fires.

The Three Horseshoes is the perfect choice for a lively lunch with friends, a drink in the sunshine or a delicious dinner prepared by our talented kitchen team using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients.

Mark, Alison, Christopher and the team look forward to giving you a warm Worldham welcome soon!.

First time visiting The Three Horseshoes and the food was delicious! Large portions at a very good price. All home cooked meals with good quality! Lovely staff and quick service. I would recommend booking a table as most tables were full on Friday night. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Phew! We ate here last night, we had pre-ordered 4x Christmas dinners (3 vegetarian options). The food, service & whole experience was first class. I would totally recommend this pub and have no hesitation in leaving a 5* review.

Extremely good menus and food. Our strollers group of 18 persons was catered for efficiently and swiftly, although one of the group got more than they ordered in their salad (a caterpillar). Lovely garden where my wife and I ate our meal because it was very hot inside on one of the hottest days of 2023. This is a Fullers pub so not much choice of ales, but the Seafarers ale went down well.

Great environment, lovely garden and staff were all great. Food was a bit disappointing for the price, chicken was dry and pie was a bit bland. To response below - it was the 1/2 chicken & the lamb pie, appreciate the offer but we were only in the area for a couple of days and are back home now.

First visit here was for a Sunday carvery which was really good, and the latest was for their normal dinner menu mid-week meeting up with family. Extensive menu, and all 5 of us enjoyed our meals which were of a high standard and good portion sizes. Staff are attentive and friendly and we had a very pleasant evening. It was busy and glad that I had booked our table, so would recommend booking in advance.
