Went to HH for Sunday lunch. Food was really good and there was plenty of staff there to serve. Will visit again as it has been a number of years since we ate there. The Sunday lunch is not the cheapest around but the quality and taste is worth paying a little extra for (£16.50) I had the Yorkshire Pudding filled Sunday lunch option with two meats which was delicious. Desserts were lovely too. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
We had Christmas meals booked last night for our group of 10. The food was delicious! It was all so tasty (not so much the Brie starter though as it lacked flavour), but everything else was absolutely wonderful! The service was fantastic too and everything was served in good time, efficiently and hot. The staff were attentive and came over regularly to ask if everything was good and if we needed more drinks or anything. I highly recommend The Halfway House and look forward to visiting again soon!
I've been here twice now, once for Sunday roast and once for evening meal! Both times the food was amazing! Service was brilliant too. A warm and friendly pub with a cosy atmosphere, especially with all the Christmas lights and decorations. Would recommend this pub to anyone.
Family dinner for eight. Service was spot on, friendly, quick and order accuracy was faultless. Eight different meals but all of a very high standard, cooked to perfection. Curry and pie were amazing! Desserts were so tasty. Superb local venue for a great dining experience, we will be back!
Fantastic service and staff. Sunday lunch was delicious, fresh and piping hot, generous portions. The meat so tender and tasty, a lovely variety of vegetables, the roast potatoes were a big hit and the gravy was divine. There were 24 of us, between us we had every main course that was available and all of them were incredible. One of the best roasts we’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend. A lovely cosy atmosphere. The staff friendly and extremely obliging.
