The oldest licensed pub in Wales, The Groes Inn is a owned by the JW Lees family, and is a traditional Inn perfectly nestled between the beautiful Conwy estuary and the stunning Tal Y Fan mountain. It offers panoramic views combined with a warm cosy welcome, fresh seasonal food and a great range of quality ales and wines. The perfect place to relax and unwind in Wales. All the staff were brilliant and friendly, the room was exceptionally nice. The food was really good and we enjoyed ourselves. One of the best places we have stayed at over the last few years, and there have been a few. Would most definately come again
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a family room with our 1 year old and were all very comfortable. We also had dinner here which was very nice and the breakfast is well worth it too as you order cooked food as well as having access to cold food. The service was extremely friendly with a great tone of voice and manner from everyone. We also took our dog for which you just pay a nightly fee and he was absolutely fine. The craft ales were a winner too for sure.
Stopped by here on the way to Holyhead ahead of catching ferry. Time was a little limited so we felt a little under pressure. The food was delicious and perfectly sized, but we did feel that the service was a little too relaxed. Tables and restaurant were clean and well presented. A great choice on the menu and all fairly reasonably priced. We would love to come back with a little more time in hand to fully enjoy the whole experience.
Family of 4 (2 young boys) and we absolutely loved it! Great location with a quick drive to Conwy, but also close to Snowdonia and set in the picturesque valley. The pub was fantastic - my boys loved it so much we went back the next night. Alan and his team were so welcoming, and we loved our stay. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic stay (over Christmas) in this wonderful pub/hotel, with great character. Staff truly amazing. Extremely friendly, smart and professional. Food was fantastic, including a remarkable Xmas Day lunch. Good beers. Dog friendly.
