About us

Throughout the day it’s a popular drop-in café bar with people working using the free WiFi and reading the papers.

In the afternoon we cater for everyone and are popular with parents who can catch up with friends having used our pram park to avoid negotiating our tables and chairs.

And into the evening we serve a range of delicious dishes from around the world along with a great range of drinks.

After trying the breakfast just before Christmas we chose this venue as our anniversary meal location. We weren't disappointed. We didn't go into the venue whilst it was the Lime Tree, but this is a venue that has been missing off the Chepstow social/eating scene in the 3 years that we have lived here. The food was superb and a lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of fiz that we received on entry (thank you) The music from the DJ was first rate. What detracts a 5 star for service was the wait for drinks. We appreciate it was a very busy evening; watching a group of 6 leave whilst waiting was a dampener. Overall, if any one is looking at use this venue do not hesitate. The small plates are something to desire and the music a welcome addition.

Exactly what was missing from Chepstow. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food came quickly. Chefs definitely know what they’re doing, nicest cauliflower I’ve ever tasted - will be attempting to recreate at home. We had crab, rarebit, cauliflower and heritage tomato. Will be back to try the brunch!

LT16 was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant itself issm absolutely beautiful, and you could tell that every single detail was designed with care. As for the food... It was phenomenonal. The idea of small plates as a menu is ideal, as you often want to sample a bit of everything. Saying that, the plates really aren't that small. 2 plates would satisfy a person even though we ordered 6 between 2 of us to share. Every single dish we had was groundbreakingly good - a twist was added that really enhanced the dishes. They were like nothing we've had before. We personally recommend everything we had: the mushroom arancini balls (not a mushroom lover but these were to die for!), the Moroccan lamb (absolutely loved it), the hummus, the chicken, the potatoes and the rarebit too. We are bot veggie but the menu was loaded with vegetarian dishes that were just as good as the meat! We would highly recommend this place. The staff were fab too. We will definitely be back. What a welcome addition to Chepstow.

We stopped for brunch here, and it was delicious! It gets busy so I would advise you to book especially on a weekend. They do have 2 tables in the front for walk in customer but they're usually full.

This is a prime location which had become sadly neglected under the previous ownership and management. It was nice to see the place fully refurbished and open again. We had a leisurely lunch here on Saturday afternoon. The food was excellent and the potions were much larger than I had imagined from the description on the menu. The staff were all lovely, in particular the attentive service from Jade made the whole experience very enjoyable. I would advise booking ahead as this place is now so popular.
