Situated in the heart of Ramsbottom stands the Grey Mare; a traditional pub offering quality Cask ales and a warm welcome to all. We have something to suite everyone’s taste – whether it’s relaxing with a quiet pint, enjoying a game of pool or darts with friends or enjoying our live entertainment. In fact we’re well known for our live music on a Friday night when we have everything from rock to reggae and our vocal artists on a Sunday night showcasing songs old and new from country to folk.
Sport is also a key factor at our pub. We have 2 ladies darts teams, 2 men’s darts teams and a pool team, so you can be sure there’s always something going on! We pride ourselves on being a traditional pub and work hard to ensure that everyone from locals to tourists feel welcome at our popular Ramsbottom pub. We look forward to seeing you soon. Great little music pub in the centre of Ramsbottom. Always a good laugh
Good place to dance to some tunes. Great bouncer, too... On Saturday night at least.
Me and my friends come here every Friday and love it. The drinks are cheap and the people are nice. 10/10 pub would recommend. We’re usually the crazy girls on the dance floor 😂.
Will never return to this place. From the moment we arrived we saw the staff members making comments and laughing looking over at a group of young girls who were just there for abit of fun. For then a rude member of staff to approach us to ask us why we were there. We then proceeded to go up to the bar where we were ignored and old men to make comments such as ‘you should cover urself up’ is an absolute disgrace for a grown man to have said this to 2 18 year olds and for the staff to have heard this and just laugh it off! We felt very vulnerable and could not have brought this up with the staff as they were the problem and this eventually left us no choice in but to leave. Absolutely awful, please avoid if no stars was an option I’d choose that.
Great pub, I love a pint here with the wife. She has gin and tonics, by the way has to be Schweppes. I love a Coke and rum. Very quick service, and that's what I like. A real pub, none of these food pubs with screaming kids. Jane is lovely to, cannot be replaced!
