Friday night fish supper for £5, better than a chippy takeaway! Fish perfectly battered with chunky chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. It was delicious.
Service was friendly and it’s a tidy pub. Food was good value but I think they were a bit busy and you could tell later on during service (it was Mother’s Day). Thank you for looking after us.
Lovely meal, had really nice starter which was wild mushrooms, goats cheese and crispy kale (delicious), one of us had chicken and one lamb, both gorgeous. The panacotta was lovely but the choux bun was awful - needed a knife to cut it and bore no resemblance to choux pastry. Overall a lovely meal and the staff were really nice!
Great pub. Really friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend eating here too.
Food here really wasn't good at all. Staff were friendly enough and the pub itself was okay. Food took a while to start with. Ordered the festive burger which was nearly £20. Took a few bites before leaving the rest, all of the meat was dry, stuffing wasn't nice at all. Told this to the staff when they collected our plates. This was not rectified or dealt with adequately. £20 for a meal that even my dog refused. Wouldn't recommend.
